Open Media training workshop – Monday 9 June 2014.

Media Training Workshops (Radio and TV) at the The Suffolk Food Hall, Wherstead, Ipswich, IP9 2AB on Monday 9 June 2014.

This is a bespoke media training course led by experienced broadcaster, Rachel Sloane, and will include individual coaching, interview practice and feedback. The day will be split into two sessions, with the morning (9.30am to 1pm) focussing on radio interviews and the afternoon (2pm to 5pm) on TV.
 
The workshop is aimed at business owners, managers or employees who wish to perfect their techniques when representing their company or organisation in media interviews. Delegates will:
       

·        Learn how to maximise the potential for positive publicity and how to articulate their message

·        Learn how to prepare for a TV or radio interview

·        Know how to plan for, and react to, negative publicity

·        Record several interviews and receive feedback on them.
 

Rachel Sloane is an award winning broadcaster in both commercial radio and BBC local radio, and writes features and reviews for magazines, newspapers and websites.  A qualified trainer (City and Guilds 730 – Further Education Teachers Certificate) she has thirty five years of experience in training adults through the lively, challenging but enjoyable, practical workshops. Her company, Rachel Sloane Partnerships Ltd, makes films for websites, conferences and training purposes.
 
David Webb is a freelance BBC- trained camera-operator who works part-time for Ipswich Town Football Club, and also makes documentaries, promotional and training films. He works for Rachel Sloane Partnerships Ltd, on media training workshops and making films for courses, websites, events and conferences. 
 
Price: Delegates can choose to attend one or both sessions, space permitting. There will be a maximum of 8 people at each session.
 
Full day at the discounted rate of £130 (exc. VAT).
Half day £80 (exc. VAT).
